Wind Rose Cellars
Wind Rose Cellars is a joint project of husband and wife team David Volmut and Jennifer States.Our winery and tasting room are located in Sequim WA. David has direct work experience in five crushes, and understands that there is more that into making a premium bottle of wine than dreams, romance and the perfect vineyard alone.
With deep roots in Italian heritage, Wind Rose Cellars primarily focus is on Italian varieties such as Primitivo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo grown in eastern Washington. Many of these rare varieties are grown in very small production, allowing us to produce unique high quality wines with case production ranging between 75-100 cases per lot. Our winemaking style is to be true to the variety when possible, with a focus on the fruit flavors and acids found within the grapes themselves. With longer maceration on the skins, our reds have developed structure and depth, but should be approachable in their youth.
